A very productive meeting with the Minister of Health, Mr. Michalis Damianos, was held this morning by the President and Members of the Board of the National e-Health Authority (NAHI), at the offices of the organization.
During the meeting, the Minister of Health was informed about the implementation schedule of the EAHY projects and the European developments in the field of e-Health.
Mr. Damianos expressed the support of the Ministry of Health in the implementation of the National Electronic Health Record of the Citizen, as well as in the activation of the Electronic Transnational Health Services, with Cyprus being the 12th member of the medical data exchange network in the EU.
Particular emphasis was placed on the way the National Electronic Health Record of the Citizen will operate, which will also provide the Ministry of Health with the appropriate information for strategic decision-making in the health sector.
For the Ministry of Health and the Hellenic Health Authority, a key objective is to make e-Health applications available to citizens for access and control of their medical data, as well as to health professionals.
After the meeting, the Minister of Health toured the newly established offices of the organisation and spoke with officials.
