The National e-Health Authority, is accepting applications for the filling of one (1) position (part-time or full-time) of Senior Specialist Research Scientist to work for the needs of the research project entitled CY-EHDS-2ND which is funded by the European Commission (EU4Health Project Grants).

It is noted that one (1) man-month of full-time work equals 140 working hours.


Position details:
Title: Research Specialist No. Seats: one (1)
Category: part-time or full-time with a contract for a period of 12 months, renewable until the completion of the project.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Candidates must hold a Bachelor’s degree from a recognized University in the relevant subjects (Computer Science or related subjects).
  • Proven experience in eHealth.
  • Publications in high-impact e-health journals.
  • Proven experience in participating and attending scientific trainings and seminars in Cyprus and abroad.
  • Very good knowledge of English.
  • Integrity of character, discretion, organisational skills, responsibility, responsibility, good humour.

ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience in the techniques used to exchange medical data between national contact points (encodings and communication protocols).
  • Experience in dissemination and communication, evaluation and sustainability of the results of national or European projects.
  • Experience in cross-border interoperability of medical data.
  • Experience in the management of research projects funded by national and/or European funds.
  • Master’s degree in relevant subjects (Computer Science, Engineering or related subjects).

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • The responsibilities and tasks to be performed by the recruited persons will be those related to the implementation, promotion and management of the actions of the European project CY-EHDS-2ND, including:
  • Support in the management of research projects.
  • Participation and contribution to the dissemination and communication, evaluation and sustainability of the project results.
  • Synthesis and comparison of results from a pilot application.
  • Participation in coordination and/or training meetings in Cyprus and abroad.

ADDITIONAL DUTIES INCLUDE:

  • Writing articles and publishing results.
  • Providing support in writing research proposals.

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:
The post (part-time or full-time) is filled on a 12-month renewable contract. The minimum monthly gross remuneration is set at €2000.00 (based on 140 hours of work), and will range up to the maximum monthly gross remuneration of €4000.00 (based on 140 hours of work), depending on experience and qualifications as well as the project work. From the aforementioned amounts, the employee’s contributions to the various State Funds as well as any Income Tax will be deducted. The contract does not provide for the payment of the 13th salary and private health care. Candidates do not have to be citizens of the Republic of Cyprus.
