The National e-Health Authority, in the framework of the information campaign on how to use the cross-border medical data exchange portal through the Republic of Cyprus ‘ “GOV.CY platform,is organizing a training seminar for physicians, which will be conducted by teams of officials from the National e-Health Authority (NHEA) and the Department of Informatics of the University of Cyprus (UCY).

The development of the Transnational e-Health Services in Cyprus is an important step towards the improvement of the country’s health system. The services will include, a) Patient Health History Summary, b) Electronic Prescribing and c) Electronic Prescription Filling, and later other data and services such as discharge, laboratory and medical imaging reports. Citizens can easily identify the availability of services with the “My Health @ EU” – “My Health @ EU” badge.

The system is already ready and it is estimated that by early 2025, the public will have access to the platform where patient data will be available. Cyprus will be the 12th country in the EU to join the network for the exchange of cross-border health services, fulfilling the goal of the European Health Union.
